She treats them as her own, while dealing with the loss of her most beloved brother. What I liked the most about Diana Casillas, is that she is an incredible character and raises her two nephews, Josh and Louie, because her brothers passed away and their mother is not stable enough to raise them. The books written by her are so good that I don’t even read any review, just dive right in because I know it’s going to be a treat! Yup! This happens sometimes, when I know that book is that good, that I start to read slowly so I can enjoy it more. I am so glad that my love for slow burns started with Mariana Zapata because she is absolutely brilliant and makes me swoon so bad, that when I figure it out that she has so far only 9 books out, I kept treating them as the very good desert that you want to drag out as much as possible. I know, I know, what was I thinking?! I remember keep asking myself what was happening, because the pages kept on turning and no sexy time was happening, and I was quite confused because by now something should happen, and in the beginning I did not even know who the male participant was, because, well, I was wrongfully assuming that the bad guy will become good and bla bla bla… “Wait for it” was actually my first slow burn book, ever, if I dare say so.
